What You’ll Be Doing

 

Cadmus is seeking a Test Engineer to support a federal customer. This role is focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of complex systems by bridging business requirements and technical solutions. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting enterprise applications, with a strong ability to interpret requirements, identify risks, and ensure that system changes are accurately implemented and meet business expectations.


The Test Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support system releases, validate solution design, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and overall system quality. This role requires someone who can operate effectively across the full testing lifecycle—from planning through production support—while maintaining a strong attention to detail in fast-paced, iterative environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute data testing strategies aligned to complex workflows, business rules, and system integrations
  • Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and supporting documentation based on detailed requirements analysis
  • Perform end-to-end testing and manage defects, including test logging, validation, and results tracking
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to validate requirements, refine testing, and support releases
  • Validate data and integration outputs, including API testing across environments
  • Partner with client SMEs to triage, reproduce, and resolve defects, including production support as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Information Systems, or similar)
  • 2-4 years of experience in data or system testing within complex, enterprise environments
  • Experience querying and validating large, complex data sets; working knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Exposure to modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or similar cloud data tools) preferred
  • Agile experience required; SAFe or scaled Agile frameworks preferred
  • Exposure to scripting or data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) is a plus but not required
  • Ability to obtain a FNS MBI Clearance is required

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. The actual salary will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
