What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus is hiring a Business Analyst for an ongoing directorate-wide financial, project, and staff management related system, working directly with development team members and key users and stakeholders within the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate. You will be supporting new development, enhancements, and Operations & Maintenance support.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze a broadly defined area, define high-level epics and stories to create a well-organized, value-driven framework to provide the required business value.
  • Write individual epic and user stories that are very clear and concise which are easy to understand and

  • implement by the development teams.

  • Provide vision and requirements backlog for a new enterprise application.

  • Establish common understanding of the functionality for the product based on series of client stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  • Document business processes by creating workflow diagrams and flow charts.

  • Collaborate with other designers and developers to create wireframe designs.

  • Support the software development team in an agile lifecycle as a product SME.

  • Review developed features to make sure they work properly and are visually polished.

  • Develop patterns and concepts within the application which may be re-used for future feature.

  • Demonstrate developed functionality in formal review sessions.

Qualifications

  • Business Analyst to perform business related requirement gathering and analysis for a US Government client.

  • 5-7 years relevant job experience requirements and development work in Information Technology and BA or BS in related field of study required. 

  • Ability to create user journeys, user stories, wireframes, mockups, and basic diagrams to convey ideas.

  • Agile experience as BA.

  • Understanding of business process redesign concepts and process improvement techniques.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, analytical skills, strong written and verbal presentation skills.

  • Exceptional written communication skills and have excellent communication skills and client presence.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, actively participate in daily scrums, running refinement and sprint planning sessions, and sprint-end demos.

  • Must be a team player and be able to build positive working relationships with team members and project managers that encourage open communication and a supportive team environment.

  • Prior experience in an IT or management consulting environment with a focus on business analysis a plus.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a government clearance is required.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

 

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

 

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000. The actual salary will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
