What You’ll Be Doing

 

Cadmus seeks a Planning and Capacity Building Analyst to join our growing Resilient Infrastructure Practice Area within the Climate Line of Business. The Planning and Capacity Building Analyst will support clients with the design and delivery of large place-based technical assistance programs to build the capacity of communities to access and manage federal grants to implement transformative projects. Initially efforts will focus on restoring and reconnecting communities that have been harmed, isolated, and cut off from opportunity by transportation infrastructure.

 

This position requires a candidate who is fluent in Spanish due to the geographic location of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Cadmus senior staff in developing processes, reporting, and responding to client needs across large transportation and planning projects
  • Provide technical value to clients around planning and transportation topics
  • Synthesize large quantities of data or technical resources into easy to comprehend and action-oriented reports
  • Support the development, coordination, and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including stakeholder workshops, technical assistance seminars, and client meetings
  • Critically assess needs of diverse populations and clients to tailor outreach and communications to specific target audiences
  • Lead and support administrative tasks such as scheduling and organizing meetings, note-taking, program planning, and financial management
  • Write, edit, and proofread documents including contract deliverables
  • Complete work assigned by project managers in a timely and high-quality fashion
  • Ensure high-quality client deliverables in all activities
  • Occasional travel may be required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in urban planning, public policy, public administration, or a related field. A master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of professional experience
  • Between 2-4 years of experience (depending on degree level) working on public policy issues. Transportation and urban planning and experience working at local, regional, and/or state government preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Candidates must be willing and able to travel if needed
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust and/or a security clearance - US Citizenship required

The minimum starting salary for this position is $65,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
