What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus’ Technology Solutions Division is seeking an experienced professional to lead our AI/ML Center of Excellence (CoE) and drive innovation, strategy, and excellence in this rapidly evolving domain.  As the AI/ML CoE Lead, you will spearhead the evolution of TSD’s AI and Machine Learning initiatives, blending innovation, strategy, and real-world applications to create transformative solutions. This high-impact leadership role combines thought leadership, technical expertise, and business development. You will lead a growing practice, provide technical oversight, craft cutting-edge solutions, and build partnerships while ensuring delivery excellence across engagements.

Responsibilities

Thought Leadership

  • Define a forward-looking vision for cutting-edge AI/ML solutions, harnessing frameworks like MLOps, Responsible AI, and Explainable AI to build systems that are not only scalable but also ethically sound and transparent.
  • Champion TSD’s AI/ML expertise by engaging with global AI communities, publishing groundbreaking research, presenting at top conferences, and inspiring innovation within and outside the organization.

 

Technical Expertise

  • Architect and implement AI/ML models and solutions as a hands-on expert in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
  • Design and deploy innovative AI/ML pipelines that redefine performance benchmarks, leveraging state-of-the-art tools and platforms to deliver unparalleled results in model development and deployment.
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge research in AI/ML and integrate innovative technologies into the practice.

 

Business Development

  • Lead high-impact discussions during pre-sales, crafting visionary AI/ML solutions that address client challenges and redefine what’s possible in the realm of intelligent systems.
  • Lead technical discussions during capture and proposal processes, developing award-winning solutions to complex problems.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to articulate TSD’s unique value propositions in AI/ML.

 

Delivery Excellence

  • Ensure delivery teams operate with customer-centric and quality-driven best practices.
  • Provide technical oversight to major AI/ML programs, fostering continuous improvement and integration of solutions.

 

Practice Building

  • Cultivate a dynamic ecosystem of AI/ML engineers and data scientists, inspiring creativity, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
  • Support recruitment, professional development, and knowledge-sharing activities.

 

Partnership Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology partners, including AWS, Microsoft, Google AI, and Databricks.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 15+ years in Data and/or AI/ML-focused consulting or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years designing and deploying AI/ML solutions at scale.
  • 5+ years leading teams of 5-10+ professionals.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering groundbreaking AI/ML solutions that have reshaped industries and driven measurable impact.

 

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in:
    • Machine learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost.
    • Deep learning and NLP tools: Hugging Face, OpenAI, BERT, GPT models.
    • MLOps platforms: Kubeflow, MLflow, SageMaker.
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI/ML model development and deployment.
    • Data processing tools: Apache Spark, Dask, Pandas.
    • Version control tools like Git/GitHub.
    • DevSecOps practices for AI/ML systems, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Responsible AI frameworks for fairness, accountability, and transparency.

 

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional storytelling and communication abilities, capable of translating complex AI/ML concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative leader who can inspire and mentor teams. 


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with reinforcement learning, computer vision, and time series analysis.
  • Previous leadership experience in an AI/ML-focused Practice or Center of Excellence.
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, data science, mathematics) is preferred but not required; equivalent experience will also be considered.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

 

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

 

The minimum starting salary for this position is $175,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
