What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus’ International Development Division is actively seeking a Senior Analyst for its Economic Engagement and Private Sector Development team. The Senior Analyst will provide project back-stopping support to multiple field projects, provide technical research support to various deliverable efforts, and support business development efforts when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and keep track of numerous ongoing activities under large, multilateral projects, including coordination with various counterparts
  • Engage in a client-facing role, regularly representing Cadmus with staff from USAID, as well as subcontractors, project partners, consultants, and others
  • Contribute to the writing and editing of project deliverables, including weekly, quarterly, and annual reports and technical studies
  • Draft project technical and travel approvals and activity budgets
  • Track and manage subcontractor technical work and billing, including ensuring compliance with regulations and project requirements
  • Track project consultants’ technical work as well as billing and travel, ensuring compliance with the project requirements
  • Support project workshops and event planning as applicable, including workshops held in developing countries
  • Maintain and update multi-million-dollar project budget(s), including projecting and tracking monthly project invoices
  • Support business development and new business efforts, including the coordination and writing of proposals as applicable
  • Guide entry-level staff with project logistics and consultant onboarding activities and expense reports, potentially serving in mentorship role(s) 
  • Manage start-up and close-down of field offices as needed to ensure successful starts to activities
  • Coordinate across Cadmus leverage teams to support successful project implementation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, international development/affairs, or related field and 5-7 years of experience in a role relevant to international development or master’s degree or equivalent in economics, public affairs/administration, business administration, or related field and 3-5 years of experience in a role relevant to international development
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, including spreadsheet and financial tracking
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills (you will interact with employees, consultants, partners, clients, subcontractors, and vendors)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience with USAID-funded and/or other donor-funded projects

Preferred skills & qualifications:

  • Strong language skills in Spanish, French or Arabic (other languages widely spoken in the developing world may be considered in place of these languages)
  • Experience in relevant economic growth, private sector development or digital transformation related issues
  • Relevant overseas work or internship experience in a developing country context

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $70,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
