What You’ll Be Doing

 

Cadmus’ International Development Division is actively seeking a Senior Analyst for its Economic Engagement and Private Sector Development team. The Senior Analyst will provide project back-stopping support to multiple field projects, provide technical research support to various deliverable efforts, and support business development efforts when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the delivery of field work, including in areas related to regional economic integration, digital connectivity, and private sector development; this includes, but not limited to, conducting research and performing analysis in project specific areas, drafting reports and supporting overall deliverable preparation
  • Support business development efforts, including drafting portions of proposals, providing logistical support for field trips to beneficiary countries to gather background information and technical content, and support the overall development of proposals
  • Provide support for project administration and the oversight of projects, including drafting and reviewing requests for client approvals, recruitment and staffing, support to financial tracking and overall pipeline monitoring, provide administrative support to consultant and stakeholder engagement, and other tasks as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of Cadmus IDD’s projects
  • Other tasks as required by direct supervisor and other project teams
  • The role may require international travel

Qualifications

Minimum required skills & qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business, international development/affairs, or related field and 5-7 years of experience in a role relevant to international development or Master’s Degree or equivalent in economics, public affairs/administration, business administration, or related field and 3-5 years of experience in a role relevant to international development
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, including spreadsheet and financial tracking
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills (you will interact with employees, consultants, partners, clients, subcontractors, and vendors)
  • Strong writing skills, which will be assessed during the hiring process
  • Experience with USAID-funded and/or other donor-funded projects

Preferred skills & qualifications:

  • Strong language skills in Spanish, French or Arabic (other languages widely spoken in the developing world may be considered in place of these languages)
  • Experience in relevant economic growth, private sector development or digital transformation related issues
  • Relevant overseas work or internship experience in a developing country context

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $70,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
