Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Cadmus seeks experienced candidates to support our Homeland Security clients with emergency management and cybersecurity exercises. You will support both government and private sector clients in preparing for catastrophic disasters and complex cyber-attacks. Successful candidates will support  the design, execution, and evaluation of homeland security exercises covering a range of hazards, including terrorism, cybersecurity, and natural disasters. Candidates may also support policy assessment and analysis, policy research, professional writing, and/or strategic planning in the homeland security or public policy fields. Some domestic travel is likely required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams in support of clients for the planning, designing, developing, conducting, and evaluating discussion-based and operations-based cybersecurity exercises.
  • Provide support to planning meetings, scenario development, and stakeholder engagement for exercises with government and private sector clients.
  • Perform research and analysis in support of cybersecurity, emergency management, and homeland security technology projects.
  • Support research, administration, and logistics for exercises and other events.
  • Develop high-quality written communications products in Microsoft Office and other software programs.
  • Provide a strong attention to detail and adherence to a formal writing style guide to create consistent and professional reports, assessments, and other written deliverables.
  • Occasional travel to exercise locations throughout the United States.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required - requires US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s from an accredited university, preferably in a national security, public policy, political science, cybersecurity, or homeland security field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience working in homeland security, cybersecurity, and/or exercises.
  • Knowledge of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
  • Knowledge of exercise design and/or cybersecurity.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (oral and written), research, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to self-edit and quality-check all original work.
  • Proficiency in relevant software programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Candidate must be willing/able to occasionally travel to exercise locations throughout the United States.
  • Candidates selected may be subject to additional security investigations and, if required, should be able to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Additional Information:

 

The ideal candidate would be located in the DC metro area, however, remote from other areas MAY be an option.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
