Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus seeks an experienced project manager and researcher to join the Market Research & Customer Insights team in the Energy Services Division. For this role, Cadmus seeks candidates with professional experience in program evaluation, social science research methods, and/or energy efficiency or sustainability. The Associate will be expected to work directly with utility clients to manage energy efficiency evaluation projects. Responsibilities include managing, assigning, and executing evaluation research with the support of the project’s principal investigator; scoping evaluation research plans; guiding the development of written deliverables; developing and monitoring project timelines; managing budget tracking, invoicing and staff workload projections for projects. Proven ability to manage multifaceted and multi-year projects with numerous workflows is essential. Experience specifically with energy efficiency and demand responses is preferred, but not required.

The Associate should have professional experience leading teams of engineers, statisticians, analysts and/or qualitative researchers. Candidates should also be highly motivated to perform and learn, be able to work collaboratively and independently, manage assigned tasks and projects from start to finish with minimal input from supervisors, and have exceptional written, verbal, and research skills.

The Associate will independently manage long-term and short-term research projects, including conducting market research activities such as interviews, secondary research, analysis, and creating written reports and presentations of the findings, conclusions and recommendations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem-solver who balances strong technical and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and who is comfortable working closely with clients to find the right solution.

In a typical day you might do the following: meet with clients to further project objectives; analyze program effectiveness and opportunities for improvement; develop or conduct surveys or interviews and analyze the findings; develop and use tracking systems to maintain program budgets, timelines, and labor projections; conduct benchmarking research or literature reviews about emerging utility programs or innovative program strategies; participate in client and internal brainstorming or status calls; synthesize research findings and draw valuable conclusions that address research questions for client reports or papers; or present your work to external or internal project teams.
