What You’ll Be Doing

 

Cadmus has an exciting new opportunity for an Asset Liability Senior Analyst in the Financial Services division. We are seeking a motivated Senior Analyst focusing on Asset Liability Model Validation to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of clients’ Asset Liability Models (ALM) through rigorous validation activities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting various model validation activities for US regional and community banks.  You will work closely with senior members of the team to evaluate model performance, identify risks, and propose actionable recommendations to mitigate these risks. Additionally, you will contribute to Interest Rate Risk analysis and assist in devising strategies to manage balance sheet risk effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Execute best-practice Asset Liability (ALM) model validation activities to ensure models are conceptually sound relative to their intended use and performing appropriately
  • Validate the performance and controls of ALM models, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Provide support for Interest Rate Risk analysis and collaborate on strategies to manage balance sheet risk efficiently
  • Identify risks associated with ALM models and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate these risks, contributing to overall risk management efforts
  • Document and present validation findings to the model validation leader and senior management, effectively communicating insights and potential impacts
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with participants/stakeholders within the model risk management community, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange
  • Provide insights and suggestions for leadership to advance model validation through presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and automation initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or other quantitative disciplines such as Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Applied Economics, or Econometrics, and 5-7 years of work experience; Masters Degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience in Compliance, Treasury, Finance, Risk Management preferred
  • Understanding of Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity, Deposits, and Stress Testing regulations and processes is a plus
  • Expertise with statistical analysis and modeling techniques
  • Experienced user of Excel. Familiarity with SAS, Python or R language
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication, presentation, and writing abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of SR 11-7 and other related guidance
  • Prior experience in model validation or risk management is preferred but not required

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $70,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
