    At Cadmus, our Strategy and Policy team directly supports communities and organizations seeking to achieve ambitious climate and clean energy goals. Within this group, our Sustainable Communities and Organizational Strategy Practice works with municipalities, foundations, and non-profit organizations to support sustainability planning and policy at the local level.

     

    Our growing team is seeking an Analyst to support this work. The Analyst will work closely with project managers and senior staff to deliver research and analysis on a range of topics related to 100% renewable energy planning for cities, development of climate change plans, community and stakeholder engagement, and other topics. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the Analyst’s role requires a mix of capacities including strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communications skills and the ability to integrate cross-cutting issues like resilience and social equity into project work.


    The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, motivated, available to work efficiently and independently, and have a strong working knowledge of relevant content areas, as outlined further below.

    Responsibilities

    As an Analyst on the Strategy and Policy team, you would be responsible for:

    • Using quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to synthesize information and summarize findings on a range of technical, policy, or financial topics;
    • Engaging with experts and stakeholders by conducting surveys, interviews, and playing a supporting role in design and facilitation of in-person workshops;
    • Writing sections of reports, ensuring accuracy of content and adherence to format and other quality requirements;
    • Working independently or with minimal supervision to support in research efforts, ensuring consistency and quality of research methods;
    • Conducting research and analyses on a range of urban sustainability, clean energy, and other topics;
    • Supporting project management in close collaboration with project managers and principals to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables to clients.

    Qualifications

    • Familiarity with and passion for advancing sustainability, clean energy, climate action, and resilience;
    • Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects;
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills (written and oral);
    • Demonstrated ability to produce client-ready work products that are error-free and meet high standards of content and visual quality;
    • Ability to work well in small teams and independently, with guidance;
    • One to three years’ work experience in a relevant field, including but not limited to sustainability, urban planning, climate change, clean energy, and/or public policy;
      BS/BA in a relevant field.

    Preferred

    • Strong quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and/or R;
    • Graphic design and visual communication experience;
    • Experience with public speaking, meeting facilitation, conducting interviews, etc.; or
    • Consulting, project management, and/or proposal-writing experience.

    Additional Information


    This is a full-time, salaried opportunity with benefits located in Boston, MA. Compensation will be subject to experience.
