  • Overview

    The Cadmus Group LLC (Cadmus) seeks a marketing and outreach specialist with three to five years of experience supporting marketing, communications, promotions, and outreach activities.


    This is a three-day per week position, onsite at a federal agency located near Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. The position has the potential to become a full-time position in the coming year. The part-time position includes benefits.


    • Work with another Cadmus onsite marketing specialist to plan and implement marketing and outreach programs to reach transportation industry stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with clients to plan and manage projects.
    • Assist with planning the development of marketing and promotional materials, such as toolkits, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, fliers, e newsletters, reports, and exhibit materials.
    • Write and edit content for social media, promotional brochures, reports, web pages, and other materials.
    • Assist with management of client’s social media presence, including developing posts and a social media calendar, monitoring results, and proposing recommendations to improve engagement and other metrics.
    • Coordinate and facilitate webinars and other trainings.
    • Assist in coordinating conference participation, including organizing presentation and booth logistics, planning and supporting development of materials, arranging exhibit shipping and set-up, and staffing booth.
    • Conduct general research on the web and online databases.
    • Support proposal development on occasion, such as coordination, scheduling, and proofing.
    • Work independently with minimal supervision, or in a team, as needed.
    • Assist with project administrative activities, such as project scheduling and budget tracking.



    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, public relations, journalism, etc.
    • Marketing or communications experience in a professional setting.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes, in a time-sensitive, deliverable-driven workplace.
    • Some experience working with graphic designers.
    • Ability to take initiative to recommend marketing strategies and tools to clients.
    • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent writing, oral communication, and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience writing in a variety of styles and translating technical information for general readers.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.

    Preferred, but Not Required

    • Experience conducting marketing to reach stakeholder groups.
    • Experience updating websites on content management systems, such as Drupal.
