  • Overview

    The Cadmus Group LLC (Cadmus) Social Marketing and Outreach practice delivers innovative marketing solutions to motivate behavior change and transform markets, primarily for federal agencies. Our service areas include energy efficiency, emergency preparedness, the environment and climate change, homeland security, public health, renewable energy, sustainable transportation, and water quality and security.  Our main federal clients include the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) and other Homeland Security programs, and the U.S. Department of Energy.




    • Develop project designs, independently or in collaboration with other graphic designers, and the senior graphic design, and internal/external clients to review drafts, refine design elements, and deliver final products in print and digital formats. Examples of design materials include:
    • Digital newsletters
    • Posters, brochure, tri-folds, guides, charts and graphs within standard templates
    • Fact sheets, briefing materials, strategic plans
    • Event banners
    • Transform data into easily digestible infographics and presentation graphics.
    • Design unique graphics and illustrations, charts and graphs.
    • Prepare files for print production and purchase images as needed.
    • Provide web design support to maintain existing website design structures or update the designs.
    • Archive website content.
    • Consult with clients on design, communications, and digital strategies and solutions.
    • Work independently in taking initial direction and completing projects, from consulting with project managers on development of creative briefs to final production.
    • Develop product timelines, manage work under strict deadlines, and follow quality assurance procedures.



    • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer arts, or related studies.
    • Up to three years of professional graphic design experience.
    • Solid understanding and knowledge of design, typography, and visual communications in relation to brand development and brand extensions.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud for Enterprises software, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to see other points of view and take constructive feedback.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and quality control, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize competing demands.
    • Ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams and deliver high-quality work, often under tight deadlines.
    • Understanding of Section 508 accessibility.
    • Ability to pass pre-screening and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).


    Preferred, but not required

    • Proficiency in web development software, such as HTML5, CSS, and Javascript.
    • Familiarity with email distribution systems, such as HubSpot and SalesForce Marketing Cloud.
    • Experience with video editing software, such as Camtasia, Adobe Premier, and After Effects.
    • Understanding of interactivity, usability principles, and web design.
