Overview

At Cadmus, our Strategy and Policy Group specializes in next generation solutions to today's most pressing challenges. We advise clients across the globe on new strategies in the fields such as energy, climate, water, and mobility. Our consultants possess deep expertise in strategy development, policy design, program and project management, stakeholder facilitation, and market analysis. Along with our German subsidiary IFOK, we employ consultants in the United States and Europe.
 
We are offering Research Internship(s) and accepting applications for 1-2 full time or part time Research Interns (with a preference for full time).
 
The Intern would aid staff by providing  analytical  support  on consulting  projects as  well as conducting  research  for  issue  briefs and white  papers  on emerging topics in the renewable energy and clean  technology  space.  Sample task includes the preparation of briefing documents, data research and analysis, and interviews with industry stakeholders, supporting development of presentation materials, and supporting development of proposals. Interns will be paired with a senior staff mentor for supervision and support for the duration of their position. Candidates for this role should have a demonstrated interest in clean energy and/or sustainability.
 
Internship Duration: The initial term would begin the last week of January and continue for three to six months with the possibility of extension. 

Responsibilities

The Research Intern would work directly with corporate staff on a wide range of activities related to the firm’s work on state and municipal clean energy policy, sustainability strategies, climate adaptation, and corporate responsibility. Interns would be expected to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.
 
Duties may include but not limited to:

  • Contributing to research papers and other project deliverables
  • Preparing and formatting PowerPoint presentations
  • Assisting with the development of proposals
  • Providing administrative support as needed (roughly 15% of intern’s time)

Qualifications

  • Academics: Working toward BS/BA OR MS/MA in a relevant field
  • Excellent academic results and strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Relevant classwork in the area of: clean energy policy and markets, climate change mitigation, resilience and sustainability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
