About the opportunity


Our Homeland Security Sector’s Exercise Business Area is the market leader for developing high-impact crisis simulations and exercises across a variety of security and resilience challenges. We have developed, executed, and evaluated hundreds of crisis simulations and exercises from the local level through the federal cabinet, including the president of the United States. Our experts help government leaders and private organizations explore multifaceted challenges to the nation’s security ranging from environmental hazards, such as hurricanes and earthquakes, to improvised nuclear device threats and complex coordinated terrorist attacks.

Responsibilities

Who we are looking for


Cadmus’ Homeland Security Sector is growing and seeks experienced candidates at the Senior Analyst level to support upcoming exercise projects for its homeland security clients. Successful candidates will support the design, control, execution, and evaluation of homeland security exercise programs for both public sector and private industry clients.


Senior Analysts work on project teams to successfully plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate exercise-related events for our clients. Senior Analysts are often responsible for leading and managing specific project tasks and should demonstrate excellent client relationship skills. They also perform research and analysis in support of the exercise planning process and are expected to lead the production of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation (HSEEP) exercise documentation, memoranda, briefings, and presentations. Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into a concise actionable summary.  Cadmus delivers exercises throughout the country, and some domestic travel is likely required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in a national security, public policy, political science, emergency management, or homeland security field
  • Minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated professional experience in exercise or emergency management (Master’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience)
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant software programs, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with HSEEP exercises
  • Willingness to be subjected to a security investigation and, if required, the ability to meet the eligibility requirements needed to gain access to classified information
