About the opportunity
Our Homeland Security Sector’s Exercise Business Areais the market leader for developing high-impact crisis simulations and exercises across a variety of security and resilience challenges. We have developed, executed, and evaluated hundreds of crisis simulations and exercises from the local level through the federal cabinet, including the president of the United States. Our experts help government leaders and private organizations explore multifaceted challenges to the nation’s security ranging from environmental hazards, such as hurricanes and earthquakes, to improvised nuclear device threats and complex coordinated terrorist attacks.

Responsibilities

Who we are looking for


Cadmus seeks experienced candidates at the Associate level to join its growing Homeland Security Sector and support upcoming exercise projects. Successful candidates will support the design, control, execution, and evaluation of homeland security exercise programs for both public sector and private industry clients.


Associates in the Exercise Business Area act in a supervisory role and are responsible for managing a variety of projects for our homeland security clients. Often serving as the project lead, Associates are responsible for the execution of high-quality exercise deliverables, management of project budgets, and supervision and coaching of project teams. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience in these areas as well as with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) exercises. Cadmus delivers exercises throughout the country, and some domestic travel is likely required for this position.

 

In addition, qualified candidates will possess advanced experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Homeland security
  • Emergency management
  • Intelligence
  • Cybersecurity
  • Counterterrorism
  • Public health

Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in homeland security or emergency management (Master’s Degree may be substituted for 3 years of experience)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant software programs, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Relevant certifications are desired (e.g., Certified Emergency Management (CEM), Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP), Project Management Professional (PMP), HSEEP, etc.)
  • Willingness to be subjected to a security investigation and, if required, the ability to meet the eligibility requirements needed to gain access to classified information
