Overview

The Cadmus Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented receptionist for our new Arlington, VA office.

 

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with a willingness to learn new subject matter and will possess the ability to multi-task as well as work both independently and collaboratively in teams. Strong computer and communication skills are a must as well as a professional and cheerful demeanor. Promptness and dependability are also important characteristics.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

 

  • Greet visitors to the office in a cheerful, professional manner, prepare logistics for visitors (i.e. set up conference rooms, teleconferences, announce guests to the office, etc.)
  • Provide continuous coverage of the front desk
    Answer incoming calls professionally and route them appropriately
  • Ensure office common areas, including kitchen and conference rooms, are kept neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Order all supplies and track usage
  • Assist with employee expense voucher administration, vendor and subcontractor invoice processing and accounts receivable tracking
  • Assist with accounting activities (e.g. purchase orders, petty cash)
  • Sort incoming mail; handle outgoing mail and packages (e.g. FedEx, UPS)
  • Assist with weekly/monthly office social activities (e.g. holiday party, birthday celebrations)
  • Assist with new hire orientation process (e.g. office tours, coordinating orientation schedule, and preparing paperwork)
  • Provide administrative support to members of the executive management team located in the Arlington office
  • Assist with confidential document processing

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and problem solve
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment (fax machines, copiers, etc.)
  • Cheerful demeanor and willingness to help out where needed
  • Previous work experience in a customer service environment is highly preferred (Banking, Sales, Hospitality/Restaurant)
