Our Homeland Security Sector seeks candidates to support a variety of public and private sector all-hazards crisis preparedness and resilience projects. Successful candidates will be highly trained in information security/cybersecurity, with at least ten years of experience and a high level of comfort briefing systems security concepts to superiors and/or clients. Further, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated desire to focus their career in professional services by using their experience in evaluating technical systems and networks to recommend best practices to clients across both the public and private sectors.  S/he will also have a high level of comfort briefing technical concepts to non-technical groups, including senior government and business executives.  Domestic travel is likely required for this position.

 

Associates manage a variety of project-level tasks as part of a project team (in many cases as the project lead), and are responsible for managing project costs and deliverables. Associates frequently contribute to both business development and direct client-support efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of emergency/crisis management principles and/or operations
  • Provide subject matter expertise to clients regarding their technical preparedness
  • Analyze the structure and protection levels of existing systems that clients use
  • Assess vulnerabilities and provide strategic insight into courses of action
  • Prepare and communicate briefs and or written reports regarding systems structure, vulnerabilities, and solutions to c-suite level clients
  • Lead development of technical/cybersecurity-focused exercise scenarios
  • Provide supervisory support to analyst staff, maintain project plans, and adhere to project schedules
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects, maintain client relationships, and oversee stakeholder communication
  • Supervise the production of analytical assessments, memoranda, briefings, and presentations
  • Ability to facilitate client workshops and meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field   
  • At least ten years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, information systems security, systems analysis preferably in a corporate setting
  • Demonstrated experience with industry technology, regulations, policy, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing and briefing executive level clients
  • Experience briefing and communicating complex ideas in a clean, easily-understood manner
  • Command of the English language in both written and spoken format
  • Willingness to be subjected to a security investigation and, if required, the ability to meet the eligibility requirements needed to gain access to classified information
  • Demonstrated progressive responsibility in program and personnel management duties
  • At least one or more of the following certifications:
    - CISSP 
    - CEH
    - OSP
    - Security +
    - Network +
  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least one of the following qualifications:
    - Critical infrastructure experience
    - SCADA Systems
    - Recognition in the industry via publications, speaking engagements, exercise participation, etc.

Skills

  • Understand technical knowledge in emergency management
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity threats
  • Outstanding research, analysis, and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Provide administrative management that promotes professional development for staff while supporting Cadmus’s human capital standards
  • Demonstrate successful task prioritization and management skills
  • Demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment in interactions with clients and colleagues
